A relative newcomer to our range, this ceanothus is sought-after for its clusters of small pink flowers, which appear at the tips of the purple-flushed stems from midsummer to early autumn. A great addition to the mixed border, it has a relatively upright habit, so it can also be used to make an informal hedge or screen in a sunny, sheltered spot.
- Garden care: In spring remove any dead, diseased or damaged stems and if the shrub is congested, cut back some of the main stems to the base to retain an open habit.
