Prunus ‘Sunset Boulevard’

Originally bred to be used as a street tree, the aptly named ‘Sunset Boulevard’ has since become an award-winning, star performer in a garden role. Whereas the plotline for Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition, the floral script for this delightful narrow, conical, medium-sized, deciduous tree reads: large, single white flowers tinged with pink at the edges. The emerging coppery foliage turns to green and then as the sun sets, the boulevard is littered with golden yellow leaves in fall.
